Finally, a photo of a Hooded Pitta at the farm! Good job Tonji! We hear them calling frequently from different areas of the farm but hardly get to see them. They tend to stay inside the tree line walking on the ground and perching on branches.

Lovely picture! 🙂 I am yet to spot the Hooded Pitta here in Singapore. We also have the Blue-winged Pitta here, which flew into my home one day! Not the best way to see such a beautiful bird as it was very disoriented, but we had someone from an animal rescue center to come rescue it.
I hope you get to see it there soon! Here in the Philippines, it’s usually the Red Bellied Pittas that fly into windows of houses.
