Family: Poaceae (also called Gramineae or true grasses)

  • There are different kinds of grass growing in different areas of the farm
  • This is from the part where we will put the horse pasture
short grass with wide leaves mixed with the thin, strand-like grass
taller grass that grows in clumps
the one with the seeds that look like grain
  • This was growing in the wallowing hole of a carabao
looks like a mini-rice paddy!
  • This is the taller grass that grows in the back part of the farm
fluffy seeds
Is this a grass or a sedge? I should look for it again now that I now know the difference between a grass and a sedge!
