Outdoor Sketches

After two or three hours of weed pulling, I am completely drenched in sweat. Then I know it’s time to take a break and move on to my other, less strenuous  activities. Like sketching!

I had a breakthrough sketching moment this week. I think this is it! After many Craftsy sketching classes with different teachers, I think I’ve found my sketching style. It looks very simple, but it actually it took me many hours of practice to reach this point!

This is the veggie patch behind the house. Right now we have eggplant growing there.

Another view from behind the house. This is the Banato tree with the red berries that the birds love.

The hagonoy and madre de cacao are both in bloom now. First you pull out the hagonoy, then you sit and sketch all the rest that are left behind!

I think Momo wants me to sketch him next!
