Tonji is now worried that we have too many Grass Owls in the farm. When we started this conservation project three years ago, we would see one Grass Owl passing through our area. We would see it flying in the distance, probably headed towards the area with the tall grass on our neighbor’s side. Our side was covered with very short, stubby grass. When I’m not at the farm, I’m out taking pictures of birds. I love taking pictures of birds, especially Philippine birds. It’s incredibly fun and challenging. It can also be incredibly frustrating when you don’t get the shot you’re after.

A Rattling Rattle Pod
This is one of my favorite wild growing plants on the farm. Its common name is Rattle Pod and I finally got to see the pods AND hear them rattle!
Fruits and Blooms
I cannot wait until the farm cottage is done! Then I can spend days at the farm, instead of just hours. Right now I feel like I am just grabbing glimpses of the farm. I walk around and get surprised that things are blooming and growing.
We had to clear an area for the paddock and found the Guava trees in bloom.
